Special Events Program Area

The special events program area is hard at work planning some super cool activities for Scouts to enjoy!

Cub Scout Events

Cub Scouts, Jambo 2019 is coming in just four months! Are you ready to have fun at the shooting sports station? You will get to shoot a BB gun as well as try your hand at archery. The shooting sports station gets our Cub Scouts excited for their upcoming camping season.

We will have a giant JENGA game for you to try. Scouts will get to make their own slime in the STEM area. Who loves gaga ball? We will have a gaga pit in the Cub Scout area at Jambo.

The Lucky Dutchman Gem Mine is a portable gem sluice as well as custom gem and stone cutting and jewelry. Cub Scouts will have an opportunity to mine for gems!

Scouts BSA Program Area

The Scouts BSA Program Area is in the beginning phases of planning fantastic activities for all Scouts to enjoy. Lined up so far: 

  • Patch Trading
  • Monkey Bridges
  • Trash Can Turkeys
  • GAGA Ball
  • Can Jam
  • Knot Tying

There are TONS of fun activities in the works, stay tuned for more info to come!

Saturday Evening Jambo Show!

Get ready for some great music and a good time at the Jambo 2019 Evening Show.  This year The ‘70s Flashback Band will hit the centerstage with great music and a full concert experience.  For this Jambo we’ll be inside the huge O’Pake Field House with concert-quality sound and lights!  For many Cub Scouts this may be there first concert, and this family-friendly evening will be sure to please.  The ‘70s Flashback Band is a Musikfest favorite and has played to packed concert venues around the area.  Plan to get there early to enjoy the show!  Check out the video of their performance below!

Fireworks … Fireworks … Fireworks!

What more can we say?  Always a Jambo favorite, the closing fireworks display will follow the Jambo Evening Show with a fantastic, high aerial display from world-class Celebration Fireworks!  It’s a great way to end a great day at Jambo 2019, the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Minsi Trails Council.

With a variety of positions and events to choose from, you will find the perfect volunteering experience.
