Welcome to the Minsi Trails Council reservation system!  This is where Scout Units can sign up for weekend camping at Settlers Camp, Camp Minsi, and Akelaland properties.  Only registered BSA Scouting units may reserve these facilities (i.e. Cub Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venture Crews can, but individual families and non-Scouting groups cannot).

When registering, you will be asked to provide the following information:
     - Unit Council & District
     - Unit Number
     - Unit Contact Information

All rentals will follow the Guide to Safe Scouting.


Limit the spread of Spotted Lanternfly:

Use the state's "Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine Checklist" to make sure items on and around your home are pest free before moving them. You can also check your vehicle for hitch hiking lanternflies if you plan on leaving the quarantine area. Taking steps to not park or leave items under tree lines will also reduce the risk of spotted lanternfly becoming an unwelcome hitch hiker in your vehicle or gear.

Conversely, its imperative to make sure your gear, vehicles, trailers, and firewood you may be bringing onto camp property is checked to reduce the risk of spotted laternfly infesting the cmap properties.  Thank you for adhearing to this special request! 

1.  How to Make a Reservation:

  1. Scroll down to "Place a Reservation" and select the camp that you are interested in reserving
    (please note that you will NOT be able to switch between camps while placing the initial reservation).

  2. Selecting a Camp will open the facility reservation system.  When reserving your desired site, you will need to fill out three columns with the following information: 

    Left Column

    1. Enter Duration.
    2. Select A Category.
    3. Select the Asset.

    Middle Column

    1. Select Arrival Date.
    2. Select Departure Date.
    3. Click RESERVE

    Right Column

    1. Review the reservation assets.
    2. Click Check-Out
  3. Identify the price group.

  4. Please first search using your last name for an existing account.  If new, click NEW GROUP.

  5. Select the number of attending youth and adults.

  6. Read and review any additional information provided, acknowledge you have read this info and click Continue.

  7. At this time, you can either check-out or continue to shop for more rentable assets (click - Keep Shopping......)

  8. If you are prepared to finalize your order, click Check-out and review your order.  Verify that the information is correct. 

  9. Clicking the SAVE button finalizes your order.

  10. An email invoice confirmation will be sent to the listed email address.

2.  Details on Reservations:

  • All reservations MUST be made online, NOT over the phone. 

    The online reservation system opens on August 11, 2017 at 9 AM promptly for the September through June weekend camping period.  Due to summer camp operation, the possibility exists that a camp may be unavailable between June through August.

  • Certain camps, facilities, and/or rentals may not be available on certain dates due to Order of Arrow, Special Events, District training, or Minsi Trails Council programs.

  • NEW - For the 2016-2017 rental season, All ranges and pavilions have a rental fee. 

  • There is NO waiting list for rentals.  Please check back into the system for openings throughout the year.


April 14 - 16, 2017 (Easter Holiday)

May 26, 2017  -  May 29, 2017 (Memorial Weekend)

June 18, 2017 through September 7, 2017 All facilities closed for Summer Camp Operations 

  • Rental invoices need to be paid and received at the MTC office within 10 business days of the invoiced date.  The mailing address will be listed on the invoice. All checks should be made out to Minsi Trials Council.

  • If the registration site is down or not functioning properly, please clear your browser's history and refresh the page.  If this does not solve the problem, call the Council Camp Help Desk at 610-465-8568 or email Bonnie Keller.

3.  Facility Updates

     Please note temporary closed areas and/or facilities:

  • Trexler Scout Reservation - Settlers Camp as of 3/10/2017

    • (Winter 2017) - The waterline will be upgraded in and around the Old Dining Hall.  Overall, this should not affect weekend rentals - water will be available in various areas.

    • (August - April 2017) - The Settlers Fire Circle area will be rebuilt.  This project may not be started until the fall of 2016.  

  • Trexler Scout Reservation - Akelaland Camp as of 3/10/2017

    • Nothing to report at this time. 

  • Camp Minsi as of 3/10/2017

    • Nothing to report at this time. 

4.  Cancellation/Refund Policy:

  • Full details can be found on the resource tab on top of the website: Click here 

  • Please notify us of any changes immediately.  Full refunds will only be granted if the unit notifies the Council office 30 days before the first day of your arrival in writing.  All correspondence should be emailed to Council Camping Department Bonnie Keller.

  • If less than 30 days notice is given, a refund will not be granted.

  • Full refunds will be given if Minsi Trails Council cancels a reservation due to special circumstances (acts of nature, emergency situations, etc.)

6.  Rental Policy for District Events

  • Entire Facility requires approval from the Minsi Trails Council Camping Committee.
  • Requests may be submitted no greater then 12 months in advance.
  • To apply and submit a request for a camp, complete the below form and email to Bonnie Keller

7.  Place a Reservation

Reservation system will go live on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 @ 9:00 AM for the rental season of Sept 2017 through June 2018.
