Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp
Forks of the Delaware Fall Camporee
September 15-17, 2017 at Camp Minsi
Rock On!
We’re putting the band back together and you’re going to help!
Your goal for this weekend is to get your bands together and compete in the ultimate Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp to see who walks away with the Grammy. Wait, not the Grammy. We all know rock bands rarely earn Grammys. At least not real rock bands. Hahaha.
Just a couple of things to get out of the way. Please make sure to follow the following BSA requirements:
All youth must be a registered Scout or Venture Crew member to participate in this event. Arrow of Light scouts may be invited to participate with your troop but must be included as part of a scout patrol or crew.
In order to keep your bands performance down to a tight 3.5 to 4 minutes, try to keep your bands between 6 to 8 members. Bands will be required to submit a lineup (patrol roster) at registration.
Here are a couple things to do prior to coming to Fantasy Camp:
• Form a band and select a band name, band yell and mascot.
• Collect personal health and medical forms for all youth and adults
• Gather band equipment for the day (Equipment is listed on another page in this packet)
• Practice your scout skills. Look at the names of the events and maybe you can figure out what you may need to practice.
• Brush up on your Rock & Roll and Scout trivia! You never know when those bonus points will come in handy.
