Trexler Scout Reservation, Located in the beautiful small town of Jonas PA, Camp Trexler is the Northeast Region's foremost Boy Scout Camp. In 1927, decorated war hero Harry C. Trexler turned a tract of land into a camp for the Boy Scouts of the Lehigh County Council. The camp opened in 1928.
Today, premier attributes of this 900+acre Scout Reservation include: Separate fully featured Boy Scout and Cub Scout Resident Camps, two lakes, a pool, varied Merit Badge offerings, and an unrivaled Scouting Program. The reservation has over 25 miles of hiking and orienteering trails, as well as mountain biking trails for you to explore.
Settlers Camp features one of the largest C.O.P.E. courses in the Northeast Region of the Boy Scouts of America, a unique Athletics area and an innovative new approach to earning Eagle Required Merit Badges at camp in a program called "Area 7". Our Program also features age-specific groups such as the First Year Camper Program (OFC), the Older Boy Program, as well as many program offerings for Scout Leaders.
Settlers Camp offers one of the most robust scouting programs around. Each year, Settlers Camp allows scouts the chance to earn a wide array of merit badges. No matter their interests, age or rank on their journey to eagle, every scout will find a badge that fits their wants and needs.
With three separate ranges, a rifle, a shotgun, and an archery range, a Disk Golf Course, a Gaga Ball Pit, eight program areas filled with activities, a fully stocked Waterfront, and a fully featured C.O.P.E./Action Center Area, there is much to experience during your week here at Camp.
